He knows the ship inside, outside, port, and starboard, yet he doesn't read or write or even speak in a way even the best linguists can translate, but his knowledge in mathematics, engineering, and theoretical energy blew my mind the first time the Stormchaser suffered her first power failure. He held up his hand with the fingers spread, 'five' is all he said and by God, he got the ship working again in just five minutes. Whatever method he used to fix the ship, it works, whether it be taking the time to repair the ship's mechanism or swooning the old fishing boat with his fine behind.
