Nexus Illyan Indoctrination

The Church of Illyan was a sect governed under the ruling Nexus hegemony before it became an independent cult. The people of Nexus generally don't want to talk about it ever since the disaffiliation. Yet finding the members of this sect is nigh impossible due to the secrecy of the members' involvement. I was lucky enough to find a former parishioner in the city of Veloo. With a long braid down the side of his neck, sharp wits of the people he met with, wearing almost nothing but segments of metal bands, everything was normal about him but his taste in fashion. I had to wonder why the police didn't stop him for his indecent exposure of his genitals and his pierced nipples. Of course, I wouldn't start out with that question so I'd ask the next obvious thing: "Why did you leave the Church of Illyan?"

"Why I left? There's only so much torture a man can commit before asking the desensitized mind what he's doing with his life. I found myself almost every week putting my foot on the loops that hung from another man's testicles, pulling it down until he's crying and screaming; or pulling back the cables that were anchored to the nipples of new members of the church, seeing their struggles in the binds as they begged for more. The people who join this church are either sick minded, sexually gluttonous, or masochistic. I too admit I was seeking the exciting "sexual" nature of the church, but when I became Magister and was tasked with performing the wishes of those poor souls, I knew this wasn't the church I wanted to be a part of."

"How do members leave? If this cult is secretive about their members, surely a magister can't walk out the front door?"

"You can when parishioners are slotted in the walls and squirming like animals moaning and begging for pleasure. Set your head straight, tell the other magisters you're needing some fresh air, and never look back once you're outside. That's why I refuse to go back to Nexus. I don't want to be indoctrinated back into the Church of Illyan."

I thanked him for the interview, making sure not to get too close to him as we shook hands before parting ways.

Few days later when I contacted him, he offered to take me on a tour through the Church of Illyan.

I politely turned down his offer.
